4. Setelah Small Blind, Big Blind dan Ante selesai dilakukan maka dilanjutkan dengan acara pembagian kartu. Setiap pemain yang ada di meja akan dibagikan 2 buah kartu yang diberikan secara tertutup. Kedua kartu ini sering disebut Hole Card atau Starting Hand, yang hanya boleh digunakan oleh satu orang pemain saja (tidak boleh bertukar kartu dengan pemain lain) dan tidak boleh dilihat / diperlihatkan dengan pemain lainnya.
5. Selesai pembagian kartu kepada masing-masing pemain, dilanjutkan dengan dibukanya babak pertama betting (Pre Flop) yang dimulai oleh pemain yang duduk tepat di sebelah kiri Big Blind, posisi pemain ini disebut Under The Gun (UTG). Tindakan betting yang dilakukan pada babak ini bisa berbentuk folding (menutup kartu), calling (melakukan betting sebesar big blind) atau raising (meningkatkan nilai betting berkali lipat nilai big blind). Seluruh pemain yang berpartisipasi penuh dalam babak betting ini diperbolehkan melanjutkan ke babak berikutnya yang disebut Flop.
6. Pada babak Flop (Third Street) ini akan dibukakan tiga buah kartu pertama dari total 5 buah kartu komunitas (Community Cards) yang akan dipergunakan bersama-sama oleh seluruh pemain untuk berlomba membuat kombinasi terbaik (Lihat Poker Hand Ranking untuk mempelajari kombinasi-kombinasi dalam poker) dan memenangkan pasangan di tengah meja (Pot). Babak kedua betting dimulai setelah melihat ketiga kartu ini yang dimulai / terhitung mulai dari pemain yang duduk tepat di sebelah kiri keping dealer (Pemain Small Blind). Seluruh pemain yang aktif mengikuti babak betting ini diperbolehkan melanjutkan ke babak selanjutnya yang disebut babak Turn.
7. Pada babak Turn (Fourth Street) ini akan dibukakan kartu keempat dan dilanjutkan dengan dimulainya babak betting ketiga oleh Pemain Small Blind atau pemain setelahnya (jika pemain small blind melakukan folding). Seluruh pemain yang aktif mengikuti babak betting ini diperbolehkan melanjutkan ke babak selanjutnya yang disebut babak River.
8. Pada babak River (Fifth Street) ini akan dibukakan kartu kelima atau kartu terakhir dari seluruh kartu komunitas, dilanjutkan babak betting keempat atau disebut juga babak betting final yang dimulai oleh pemain small blind atau pemain setelahnya. Seluruh pemain yang tersisa dari babak betting di River ini akan memasuki babak Show Down.
9. Babak Show Down adalah babak dimana seluruh pemain yang tersisa dari keempat rangkaian betting di atas saling membukakan kartu pegangannya dan memperlihatkannya kepada seluruh lawan-lawannya untuk menentukan yang menjadi pemenang, yaitu pemain yang memiliki kombinasi terbaik / tertinggi, hasil dari penggabungan kedua kartu pegangan (Hole Card / Starting Hand) dengan kelima kartu community card.
