Red Rock Resorts has appointed GAN Limited (GAN) to power its online, mobile and retail sports betting platforms throughout its Station Casino properties in Nevada.
The Irving, California-based business-to-business (B2B) gaming software provider took to Twitter on October 15 to share news of its appointment to build and power Station s STN Sports platforms:

In an official release, GAN said it had signed a binding terms sheet with Red Rock Resorts pertaining to its current portfolio of properties and projects in development. GAN has begun the regulatory licensing procedure, with the commercial roll-out of the Station platforms subject to regulatory technical certification.
excited to enter the U.S. sports market next year with a market leader in Nevada
GAN CEO Dermot Smurfit said his firm was excited to enter the U.S. sports market next year with a market leader in Nevada.
The deal reinforces a previous partnership inked between GAN and Station for the latter s social casino gaming service, Simulated Gaming, which launched in 2017 to serve loyalty reward card-owning customers of Station s 19 brick-and-mortar casino properties in Nevada.
Smurfit said GAN was greatly pleased to land the first major US retail casino operator client for its omnichannel sports wagering technology and managed trading services solution. Smurfit said the gaming software leader acquired the solution at the start of 2021, before demonstrating it at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) earlier this month in Las Vegas.
Station Casinos senior VP of innovation and slots Thomas Mikulich said his company was looking forward to collaborating closely with GAN to launch its innovative sports experience in the Silver State.
Mikulich added Station s choice of GAN reflects its proven technology platform, specialist experience with integrating reward programs, reputation for integrity and their exciting sports betting user experience across online and retail devices.
Getting Station onboard adds to an ultra productive 2021 for GAN. In May, the California gaming provider acquired Latin America and Europe-facing Coolbet, prompting a 263% boost in first quarter revenue for GAN.
Earlier in the year, GAN announced a deal with Gila River Gaming Enterprises to launch its Simulated Gaming service at the three casinos the company operates in Arizona for the Gila River Indian Community.
When you travel to Las Vegas, you have three hotel and casino options to consider: You can stay on The Strip, you can stay off-strip or you can stay completely away from The Strip. The latter is the least popular among those who make the trek to Sin City, but it can still be a good option. Our Red Rock sportsbook review is proof.
Due diligence is incredibly important when it comes to looking at hotels and casinos that venture well off the beaten path. The Red Rock casino is
Fortunately, we covered all the bases and are ready to go into the weeds, with all the information you could ever need.
This may be the most important element of the Red Rock Hotel. It is located at 1011 West Charleston Boulevard. You'll notice that this is neither Las Vegas Boulevard nor Fremont. It is actually in a location approximately a 17 to 20-minute drive away from The Strip.
This is going to be a turnoff for some potential guests. There's no way around it. The Red Rock is also a similar distance away from McCarran International Airport, which only adds to its downside. You need to rent a car or use a rideshare to get around.
On the bright side, for those who rent a car, self-parking is free at the Red Rock casino sportsbook. You also have the option of using a velt.
In many cases, this still won't matter. Guests typically want to stay at centrally located joints on The Strip, like the Cosmopolitan or Bellagio hotels. If they can't stay there, they'd rather get a room at the northern or southernmost end of The Strip, at a hotel like the Venetian. And if they can't stay there, they'd still rather go to Fremont street, where places like the Golden Nugget and D Las Vegas are much closer to The Strip.
There's nothing wrong with valuing location over everything else. But as you'll come to see, the Red Rock casino and sportsbook do their darndest to ensure their distance from the epicenter of Sin City doesn't dissuade you from choosing them for your next stay.
While other Vegas hotels, such as Planet Hollywood or Paris, don't view their sportsbook as the primary draw, the Red Rock casino has no choice. They are neither on The Strip nor close enough to it for their guests to place wagers elsewhere. Even building a commuter sportsbook was out of the question. They need a lounge in which bettors can place wagers and relax.
Red Rock pulled out all the stops during their 2020 renovation. The sportsbook has more than 200 seats, many of which come with individual screens designed specifically for those who bet on horse racing, plus a VIP section.
Their biggest source of appeal, though? That would be the 96-foot wall they turned into a sectional screen that shows all the top live sporting events in separate quadrants. It truly is a sight to behold.
The Red Rock sportsbook hours of operation are also incredibly important given the hotel's remote location. They deliver here, too. Opening at 7 a.m. on Saturdays is huge during college football season, and their lines on Sundays post immediately at 8 a.m. so your NFL betting won't be held up.
Catching a game at the Red Rock sportsbook is likewise a genuinely entertaining experience. Their seats are comfortable, and they have a bar within the room at which you can order cocktails, appetizers and full-on meals. And while a place like this would normally fill to capacity during huge events like the Super Bowl or college football National Championship game, Red Rock's remote location makes it so the crowds are manageable and you can enjoy such games without having to survive standing room only.
Comps and specials are not part of the Red Rock sportsbook business model, but they do offer everything else: betting specials, contests, events—the whole nine yards. They even make it so you don't have to be at the sportsbook to place a wager. With the STN Sports app, you can make deposits, place wagers, collect winnings and do anything else you would otherwise need to do in person.
Like other sportsbook apps hosted by Vegas hotels, you won't be able to use this one outside Nevada. They've embedded geolocation tracking to determine whether you can legally place wagers.
Luckily, you don't need them to get your sports-betting fix if you're outside Vegas. We've compiled a list of the best online sportsbook that you should be able to use no matter where you reside:
150% up to $5,000 (Promo Code SU150CRYPT)
BTC Bonus 75% up to $750!
Many of these online sportsbooks do offer a casino section with lots of games: slots, roulette, craps, baccarat, bingo, keno, poker, blackjack, and many more. The live casino feature with their live dealers makes you feel that you are inside a physical casino in the Las Vegas strip. Check them out!
The Red Rock casino is built in the same vein as their sportsbook: It has everything because it has to have everything. Everything else in Vegas is too far away.
All the usual gaming options are within Red Rock's 87,000 square foot casino: slots, video poker, roulette, blackjack, keno, craps, etc. They also have a full-on poker room, where they will run regular buy-in tournaments, plus a bingo room to boot.
Even the decor is meticulously thought out. You don't even realize you're a good 17 to 20 minutes away from The Strip. You feel like you're right in the thick of the action.
Among the biggest complaints, we see about the Red Rock casino is they don't have complimentary drinks on the floor. This is both accurate and a bummer. It also makes sense. They don't need to have free drinks. You're not going anywhere else. You are basically on a resort, and leaving can be more trouble than it's worth, particularly if you're looking to consume a few cocktails. They have you by the you-know-what, and they know it. You have to purchase drinks at the bar.
Red Rock makes up for this gap in amenities with a strong gambling rewards program. Though it isn't valid on transactions at the sportsbook, their Casino Players Club card can be used to rack up points at all table games and slots. Once you have enough points, you will be able to redeem them for event tickets, discounted room rates, meal benefits, and even free bets.
The hotel portion of Red Rock is arguably the best part. It is what makes the resort an actual, well, resort.
With over 800 rooms, you will almost never have trouble finding a reservation. Rates begin at $85 per night depending on the time of year. However, you will also be subject to a daily resort fee of $44.95. before taxes. This is lofty relative to other Vegas hotels, but not exactly unheard of. Some places on The Strip will charge around $40 in daily resort fees.
Red Rock at least has the amenities in place to back up the cost. The rooms are fairly spacious and incredibly modern following their renovation. Every standard room has at least one plasma TV, as well. The wifi here is of the highest quality, too. It has to be when people are oftentimes committing their entire stay to remain on the property.
Other amenities include a laundry service, concierge, 24-hour room service, access to a business center, a fantastic pool, a gym, and much more.
Finding places to eat on-site isn't an issue. Consider this list of restaurants and cafes: Grand Café, Feast Buffet, The Bagel Cafe, T-Bones Chophouse Lounge, Terra Rossa Italian Restaurant, Hachi, LBS: A Burger Joint, Cabo Cantina, Turf Grill, food court, Sandbar Poolside Café. You could spend your entire stay on the property and still figure out a way to eat somewhere different every day.
Red Rock's entertainment options are wild even by Vegas standards. They have live concerts, a nightclub, multiple bars, a bowling alley, and even a Regal movie theater! They also have a variety of shops on-site, though for any real shopping you should expect to make the trip to the Miracle Mile mall located on The Strip.
Theoretically, Red Rock is a great lodging option for anyone who visits Vegas. You can enjoy some time away from the 24/7 noisiness on The Strip and then order rideshare to hit any nightclubs, casinos, or shows at your leisure.
But this resort is particularly good for families that have children under the gambling age of 21. Parents can still get the full-on Sin City experience when their kids are asleep in the room or enjoying the bowling alley or movie theater.
This is not to say Red Rock is predominantly for families. Partygoers not only stay at the Red Rock, but they spend a majority of their time on the property because of all the entertainment and gambling options. The distance from The Strip might be a hangup, but as far as we're concerned, Red Rock is the single Vegas hotel with something for every type of guest.
Located in Summerlin which is on the far west side of Las Vegas and north, Red Rock is one of the top two local casinos in town and is the cream of the crop of Station Casinos. While it draws relatively few, tourists make their way out here too if they are looking to get away from the strip madness and/or if they want to stay nearby Red Rock Canyon. Whatever reason anyone decides to go here, the sportsbook makes Red Rock Casino that much more appealing.
Red Rock has recently upgraded its TV quality and they are amazing with great sound. They include big screens which can also be a giant screen for games like the Super Bowl, and below those are a fleet of small TVs if you are sitting close. Some additional TVs are also on the side and high up on the wall, but they re not that easy to see.
The racebook occupies around 1/3 of the sportsbook, and pamphlets for its day s action can be found on the far left. Near those is a glass case displaying whatever current sports betting specials are going on (like for the March Madness tournament) and the rest of the sportsbook s pamphlets are on the opposite side by the cashier. In addition to what s happening that day, they also have lines for upcoming events, futures, and whatever props that might be available.
Station Casinos are not known for offering better day to day lines than any of the strip casinos, but you certainly might find better payouts here regarding futures because many more of the bettors are local. The strip casinos get away with offering such measly payouts for their futures because they know their tourist bettors either just don t know any better or are simply glad to have any action. That said, futures payouts by Station Casinos or any local joint aren t always substantially higher than the strip s if they are at all.
This book is huge with plenty of cashiers for busy days, and other than the Westgate which is a very short drive from the strip, Red Rock is easily the biggest off strip sportsbook. To access it, it is a short walk from the valet or you will see it right as you walk through the main entrance next to the poker room. It is right outside the casino, but far enough away that you don t overhear constant chirping from slot machines.
There is plenty of seating and various kinds. On the right side at the front are rows of 3×7 spacious leather club chairs. Behind them are some high stools and chairs along with some standing counter space. The large VIP section is in the back and also equipped with all leather chairs and roundtables. There is so much racebook seating it spills into the sportsbook and makes up most of Red Rock sportsbook s regular seating, providing rows of over 100 desks each with their own TV. There is a bathroom nearby and smoking is allowed, but only on the right side in the sports section.
Being a popular venue, this sportsbook will certainly fill up for all major playoff games, NFL Sunday, and March Madness college hoops. The book may be large with plenty of seating space, but there is not a ton of room to walk. On a busy day, people are kind of falling over each other.
Since the sportsbook is built horizontally, if you are sitting on one of the sides you will not be able to see everything, but if you are in the middle you have a perfect view of everything. The betting boards are narrow with rotating lines and are straight ahead of the big screen TVs.
Since sports betting lines can get annoyingly long, Red Rock also offers the option of opening an account quickly and for free, allowing you to download the Station Casinos sports betting app. One app controls all the horse and sports betting, but separate accounts are needed for each one. With the app, you have access to all the usual lines, but the minimum and maximum bets allowed are substantially lower.
The app and Red Rock also offer live betting which is wagering on games that have already started. It is only available for select games but given how quickly live betting has grown in popularity in just a few years its expansion could happen sooner before later.
To drink at the sportsbook, all you used to had to do was show up but now you have to bet. Most strip casinos require at least $50 for sports to obtain one drink ticket and most of them are much higher than that. But, since Red Rock is far from the strip it is much friendlier.
Twenty dollars will get you a ticket for sports, and any bet will get you one in the racebook. Since the requirements are already low, one can figure if you are nice to either the cashiers or the cocktail servers that charming your way into some extra tickets should be that much easier.
The casino floor is large and includes plenty of slots as well as bingo. Five dollar double deck blackjack is guaranteed, and $5 minimum bets are also generally available for all the standard casino games you re used to seeing. Red Rock has also introduced a new version of blackjack they call Zappit which allows bettors to swap their hand out for two new cards when dealt 15, 16, 17, or 18.
Behind the sportsbook s VIP section is also a large video poker bar that faces away and towards the action. Numerous other bars are spread around including a Yardhouse.
No great sportsbook is without some nearby chow. Connected to the sportsbook is the Gridiron Grill, and there is also a large food court, but you must leave the sportsbook. Red Rock also features a wide variety of other restaurants ranging from low-end pricing to high.
The resort and spa are excellent offering a wide variety of luxurious rooms. Its pool also has cabanas and food and beverage service. Like many other local and Station casinos, Red Rock has a movie theater as well as a bowling alley.
Most of your reward points are going to be earned either on the table games or by the slots. Nevertheless, Red Rock sportsbook gives back one tier credit for every $1 bet in the sportsbook and 20 credits for every $1 on the horses which you can use towards comps. Bear in mind though it is still advisable to swipe your player s card every time you bet so that your bet is recorded. This way, should you manage to lose a winning ticket, all you have to do is bring your player s card to the book and you will still be paid.
Red Rock delivers its locals a fine sports betting experience. It can get slightly overcrowded, but other than that it has got it all. Great viewing ability and TVs, plenty of room to sit, friendly on drinks, and is centrally located. Whether you are visiting or living in Las Vegas and want a great place to watch sports but would like a break from all the strip madness, Red Rock is a sure-fire winner.
Red Rock's 18 projectors, three giant-screen, 25 large-screen and 15 traditional big-screen television monitors make for the finest sports viewing experience.
It's a race and sports fan's dream -- wall-to-wall television screens.
At the Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa, it's also reality.
At 18 feet high and 96 feet wide, the wall of televisions projecting sporting events to patrons is as awe-inspiring as the resort itself. The Red Rock Race and Sports Book is among the most modern and luxurious in town.
Eighteen projectors are used on the wall, which combines three giant-screen, 25 large-screen and 15 traditional big-screen television monitors. The wall bank is touted as the largest in any race and sports book in the state.
But the barrage of screens doesn't end there. The Red Rock's sports book has 213 individual monitors as well, providing patrons the opportunity to watch the game of their choice anywhere in the race and sports book arena. The spacious race section also offers a VIP area as well as 18 individual player terminals to give pony enthusiasts a plethora of options.
The Red Rock Race and Sports Book takes wagers on all major sporting events including NASCAR, golf, tennis, horse racing and boxing, as well as futures wagering.
And if the action alone doesn't whet your appetite, the adjacent Bagel Cafe, known for its 20 types of fresh bagels and delicious cream cheese, has a full menu to fill you up while you take in the action. The Bagel Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Red Rock is the jewel of the Station Casinos chain, and is involved with the same special events that are hallmarks of the Station chain: The Great Giveaway pro football contest that lasts all season long, and specials for horse players each year when the Kentucky Derby rolls around in May. The resort is also linked to The Sports Connection, Stations' Internet and phone wagering service.
Whether you are a horse player or sports fan, the lavish book is a must-see for Las Vegas visitors.
