It's all about the "Benjamins"! I use to frequent Spirit Mountain about 2-3 times each month, and as many of the comments have noted, it's changed. One of the things that set Spirit Mountain apart was the card-room. It gave us an excuse to stay for hours, and I could play Holdem while my wife and her friends played slots or one of the table games. It seems the pandemic gave managment the excuse they needed, "MORE SLOTS"! I get it, the casino makes more money on slots than the poker room, but go to Vegas and every major casino has a card room. If you wanted to be like every other tribal casino then congratulations, "You Did It."
My wife convinced me to go a few times since the casino reopened, and I haven't been impressed. There needs to be room made for more table games, because waiting 2-3 hours for one of the few seats to be available is beyond rediculous. One other note for those who like holdem, their "Ultimate Texas Holdem" game defies probability. I have witnessed hourly stretches where no one at the table would win, because the dealer made so many dominant hands (Quads, trips, 2 flushes and a boat). The issue is that good Holdem players know the odds of making these hands are quite high, and making each of these hands over the course of a short stretch, are improbable!
Take the drive to Vancouver and give Ilani a try. They have an insane number of tables, the wait is decent, and the probability of winning at the tables sure feels realistic!

Spirit Mountain Casino is the biggest casino in Oregon, with the biggest poker room.
The casino features tons of slot machines, a few craps tables, roulette, a few styles of blackjack and plenty of video poker games. They're usually giving away some cars, trucks, boats, that sort of thing.
The staff is friendly, and helpful. Drink service (though non alcoholic) is prompt. From a poker players stand point, it's the best place to play in Oregon, including the underground rooms.
There's a few options for dining, including the new Super Casino style buffett, the deli where my childhood best friend works, her names Lorrinda, tell her Cathy said hi!
There is a curfew for miners, so if you're bringing kiddies, there's an arcade and stuff during the day, but no late night snacks out of the room.
There's pretty much nothing else in the town, aside from a taco time and a gas station.

We stopped at Spirit Mountain Casino one our way home from the coast, just to try our luck. There was a fun supervised place for our son to play and many gaming choices for us.

Spirit Mountain in Grand Ronde is a nice casino compared to the others. One major draw is that they have a separate smoking section so when we wanted to play in the non-smoking area we actually were far away from the smoking section. They even had their tables in there. The parking is nice also (close to the doors).
