New Doritos Roulette Bags Contain One Extremely Spicy Chip in Every Handful

Last month, PepsiCo Canada launched a new Doritos flavor party game in which a few chips in the regularly Nacho Cheese-flavored bag are ridiculously spicy, allowing sadistic children everywhere to enjoy a whole new form of schadenfreude-fueled glee simply by sharing a bag.

Currently only available in Canada, most of the chips in each Roulette bag are Nacho Cheese Doritos, while 25% or so are "solid slap in the face" hot. The problem is, the spicy ones look and taste just like the regulars, leaving adventurous eaters guessing until they're left grabbing for a couple gallon jugs of milk.

So far, there's been no news of Doritos Roulette making its way to the United States, though you could whip up some Sriracha salt and make your own. Or you could just laugh at all the Canadians posting #BurnSelfies, that works too.

Doritos unveils 'Roulette' flavour edition where some chips are insanely hot

PepsiCo Canada has launched Doritos Roulette, a new flavour edition in which most of the chips are nacho cheese flavored, while others are insanely hot.

Consumers are calling the chips dangerous and a solid slap in the face and hundreds of people are posting videos of themselves eating the chips on YouTube.

Aside from the spice, these chips look and taste just like a regular Nacho Cheese Dorito, according to a review by the blog The Impulsive Buy. So you really have no idea what you re going to get until you pop it in your mouth.

The new flavor was launched in Canada last month. A PepsiCo Canada spokesman told us he couldn t comment on whether they would be coming to the U.S.

Here s what people are saying on Twitter.

Doritos release HOTTEST crisp ever in UK despite them being banned in US

A NEW crisp is to hit stores in the UK - 10 times hotter than a jalapeno pepper.

Doritos have launched their new fiery Roulette selection that are sure to leave crisp-lovers hot under the collar.

The original tangy cheese tortilla chips are having a bit of mix up in the latest mark-up with one in every handful covered in invisible chilli powder.

Measuring in at 78,000 scoville units, the hot chip is approximately 10 times hotter than an everyday jalapeno.

The chips are so hot that food standards agencies have not allowed them to go on sale in the United States.

And with a warning disclaimer to match it's no surprise.

Until now, they have only been sold in Canada and a number of YouTube reaction videos have already been posted online.

There has also been a surge of sales for these highly-demanded snacks with people in Canada selling them on eBay for as much as ?6-a-bag.

New Doritos Roulette have been launched as part of a wider campaign by the company to encourage people to make bold choices when they re getting together with friends.

Michael Walford, Doritos Marketing Manager said: Doritos have always been a social snack to share with friends but Doritos Roulette really steps it up a notch.

They re hotter than most of the spiciest dishes out there so you re going to want to have a glass of milk at the ready in case you get one!

Your view on Dorito Roulette is it too hot?

I'm brown too and can't handle the heat lol.

Oh God, when they came out my whole class would just buy some packs over the break and then share them out seeing who will get the really hot one.

I find them pretty spicy but not inedible.

I'm remember proudly telling my sister "I'm Asian, this'll probably be mild for me"
